Rubio Warns Hamas
Senator Marco Rubio recently issued a strong warning to Hamas, demanding the immediate release of all hostages. He stated that Hamas must free the remaining captives or face destruction. Former President Donald Trump has also threatened Hamas, saying there would be "hell to pay" if the hostages are not released. He insisted that all hostages, including those deceased, must be returned. Trump promised to provide Israel with everything needed to "finish the job" against Hamas. He advised Hamas leadership to leave Gaza while they still can and painted a picture of a "beautiful future" for the region if the hostages are freed.
In a shift from previous policy, the White House confirmed that the U.S. is engaging in direct talks with Hamas. Hostage affairs envoy Adam Boehler is authorized to communicate directly with Hamas, aiming to secure the release of the hostages.
